Found your website today. Am studying to restore the interior on my '97 VW Cabrio interior. I have a fist sized hole in the left bolster of the driver's seat. Am inclined to try this "Leather Magic" product just to see if it would work. Replacement seat cover kits are $600-$700!!! What happened to the $100 OEM style vinyl seat covers I was installing in my '66 Mustang in the late 80's? Am looking for a leatherette kit if you can steer me to one.

Thanks so much for the re-dye instructions. I have a perfect set of replacement (used) door panels that I want to use but it is from a later model Cabrio (couple years newer than mine) and the door panels are a couple of shades darker. Your instructions have clarified how to redye these doors so I can used them in my car.

Now if I could only find the mythical $300 leatherette seat cover kit or a cheap junkyard seat in good condition...
