Have you ever had a leather seat in your vehicle look like this and wonder if there was a fix. There is and I’m here to show you how to do it, and make money at it.
I have spent many years perfecting a system that you can use to make money in the Automotive Interior Leather and Vinyl Repair and Restoration business.
Hi, my name is Mike Warren, I am the owner and operator of The Interior Guy, LLC. Located in the heart of the Ozarks, Springfield, Missouri. Specializing in Leather Repair, Vinyl Repair, Carpet Dyeing, Plastic Repair, Plastic Painting, Velour Repair, and numerous other automotive interior restoration jobs needing some TLC, theres not to many things that I haven’t seen and repaired. I started this business in 1999, with the intention to be successful, honest, and be happy all at the same the time. I have succeeded in those three goals, now I have set another goal and that is to teach what I have learned in the automotive interior repair business and pass that knowledge onto you. With one thing in mind and that is to teach you in way that you will be successful.
What I am offering is a two week course, maybe longer if needed, to serious people wanting to learn a craft, a skill, a career, and the best part being your own boss. I am looking for people that are skilled with their hands and mind. You will need this to be successful in this business, you not only need to be a craftsman but a self motivator too. I’m not a big franchise, it’s just me and my skills, one on one with you.
Automotive Interior Restoration Training Course:
· Hands on automotive interior restoration training with me. You will ride along with me to my accounts that I service on a regular basis. There will be no big classrooms, no body else to distract you with your questions, and believe me you will have questions. There is no bad questions, if you don’t ask you won’t learn. It will be one on one training from a professional. I will show you everything I know about the business.
· I will do what my trainer did and supply you with all the information on what products I use and where to purchase them. I have spent many years doing research on many products and methods, and with many times of trial and error ( I figure I can’t hurt the torn seat more then it already is, so…) I have come up with many suppliers that have the top of line products that I use in my everyday repairs. I will set you up with my suppliers with pricing and drop shipping to you.
· I will show you the how to in the craft of Leather Repair. What products to use when, where, and how to use them properly. This is probably my favorite, I enjoy restoring an old grungy leather seat and make it look new again and seeing the customers face when I’m done, it’s pretty gratifying.
· I will show you how to do Vinyl Repair, on seat sides, door panels, dashes, boat seats, wherever a vinyl repair is needed we will fix it together, showing you the step by step process from start to finish. Also showing you how to identify between leather and vinyl, and the different vinyls that involve different fixes, there are a lot of different types believe me, and everyone takes a different fix.
· I will show Velour Repair, or cloth repair as some people call it. People smoke, and what happens when they drive and smoke, well they burn holes in the seat. I will show you a temporary fix, that the car dealers pay for, and some individuals, and they love it. The one thing about this is it is a temporary fix, but say in a headliner or door panel, the repair could last for a long time. I’m not a big fan of this repair but there are times when the need is there and theres a dollar to be spent.
· I will teach you how to Repair Plastic. Scratches, cuts, broken trim pieces, plastic welding, dyeing and painting of plastic, custom painting on plastic, ect. Some of the broken trim can be fixed, but mostly don’t hold up so I usually recommend them to replace it, and thats where I come in on the painting part. Painting replacement parts. I will teach you how to paint plastic in the proper way to achieve maximum results.
· Carpet Dyeing, how to dye carpet in a way that is looks natural to the eyes and feel, not just “rattle canned” stiff painted looking carpet. Yuck.
· General cleaning tips for removal of stains in automobile carpet, headliners, seats, ect. When I started in this business I started with just mobile detailing, believe it or not theres good money in that too. A clean and reconditioned car will sale quicker if done right. If you know how to get a car showroom ready, people will pay good money for that, and thats where us Interior Guy’s come in and make it happen. Stain removal is a trick, and a lot of chemicals can set the stain instead of removing them, and in some instances create a bigger problem, which can cost you money. I’ll give you everything I know from experience on what to use and what not to use and where and in what places to use certain products.
· Business info on how I run my business including help with setting up an LLC., tax info, what I charge for each job, and how I keep this organized to help you get started in making money within the first few days of starting your new Automotive Interior Restoration business.

This is what that nasty Leather seat looks like when I’m done, looks good, huh? It looks great, it lasts, and the customer is very happy that I made that leather seat look like new . You can do the same thing with a little practice and know how, and I’m here to give you the know how.
As I said before I am looking for Serious people that want to learn a craft, and only serious people. Preferable credentials should include experience in painting, preferably automotive but not necessary, but you do need to have some artistic ability. Being able to see colors and be able to mix them is a big thing in this business. A self motivator, and a good people person. Your are dealing with the public and good people skills will get you a long way.
So don’t waste your time or mine if your just wanting to find a new job. This is not a J O B, this is a craft and a career, and thats what I will teach you, an Automotive Interior Craft and Career. I want to be able to pass my skills onto someone that will succeed, stick with it, and call it a pride thing but my name rides on you. I believe that if you succeed then I will have succeeded too.
If you are a serious self motivator and skilled with your hands and mind and want to learn a craft that will give you a lifetime of reward, then drop me an email at theinteriorguy@gmail.com with your name and phone number where you can be reached in the evening. Give me a brief description of yourself, this is not a resume, just a few things like where you live, prior experience, ect., nothing formal. That way I know a little about who I’m dealing with before we talk.
Hope to talk to you soon - Mike Warren, The Interior Guy
